A writer can't get very far without markets to sell their work to. Here are some places to find market information.

Email your market information to linda@writerschatroom.com

Markets for your writing can be found EVERYWHERE!  Newspapers, magazines, trade journals, websites, newsletters—print and online—all need fresh copy to stay at the top of their game.

It doesn’t matter if you write fiction, non-fiction, creative non-fiction, articles, stories, or books.  There is a market for your work.  Define it.  Refine it. Market it!  Sell it!

Following are just a few of the markets available online.  Some are free.  Some charge a subscription.  Some make you join a group.  They are MARKETS you can research in your quest to be a published writer.  Invest in your chosen profession, whether that investment is time or money.

www.writersmarket.com/index_ns.asp   The grandaddy of them all. Available in print and online. This site is not free, but it is well worth the price.

www.fundsforwriters.com  Hope Clark's site.  She keeps some market listings on the site but she has four newsletters available, three of them for free.  Pick the one that appeals to you the most, and market info will tumble into your inbox weekly or bi-weekly, depending on which one you choose. She also has a paid newsletter, which gives you more than double the markets you get from the free ones.

Next up is Angela Hoy's www.writersweekly.com.  She provides a database of markets, many of which welcome new writers. She also has a free weekly newsletter filled with articles for writers and market info. You can get her newsletter by RSS feed too, if you prefer. (I do.)

Then we have Jenna Glatzer's sites, www.absolutewrite.com and  www.absolutemarkets.com . She also has newsletters, free and paid, depending on how many markets you want every two weeks. Linda says that Absolute Markets is well worth the price!

www.writersdigest.com is a print mag. Each month, they send you dozens of markets, along with informative articles on the writing business. You can sign up on their site for a free newsletter. There is some market info in the newsletter, but not a lot. One site you want to mark and check regularly is http://www.writersdigest.com/markets/spotlight2.asp for their Hot Markets list. They also have forums where you can talk to other writers.

Moira Allen owns www.writing-world.com . Free newsletter and lots of articles to help you learn the business. Many articles contain a list of markets pertaining to the topic of the article. She also has an extensive database of contests.

http://www.firstwriter.com/ has a huge database of markets to search through. Also a free newsletter.
